On April 11, XEnergy successfully organized the second cycle of one-day trainings on contracting the purchase and sale of green electricity, i.e. PPAs. The extremely successful first training, which took place in February, showed that there are still many doubts, which were clarified to the participants this time by XEnergy experts Minea Skok, Tina Jakaša, Martina Vajdić and Saša Jovičić, as well as our guests from Professio Energia Marko Karan and Miroslav Nikolić.

Our Assembly member Nađa Dizdarević recently visited Brussels, where she took part in a series of events dedicated to energy transition and sustainability as a Young Energy Ambassador and representative of XEnergy.
Our first internship program, organized in collaboration with our corporate partner, E.ON Croatia, has successfully concluded. Six female graduate students from technical and social sciences had the opportunity to experience real challenges in the dynamic energy industry over one month, guided by experienced mentors and working on concrete projects: from employee engagement, developing solar potential in Croatia, and market strategies for certain parts of E.ON’s business, to exploring green transition opportunities and helping shape solutions for waste management in the photovoltaic industry.
The member of our Assembly, Nađa Dizdarević, was elected Young Energy Ambassador for 2025. Among more than 1300 applications from all over the world, 30 young ambassadors were selected, and Nađa had the honor of being one of them – as the only candidate from Croatia! The selection was carried out by the Executive Agency for Climate, Infrastructure and Environment (CINEA), the body of the European Commission responsible for the implementation of key EU programs in the field of sustainability and climate transition.
We are very pleased that our member Ani Trstenjak, in addition to 11 other distinguished representatives of non-profit organizations, business and politics, was chosen as the ambassador of the European Climate Pact in Croatia, thus joining a network of more than 800 ambassadors across the EU.
We are very pleased to announce two more partnerships with EU institutions: European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Commission Equality Platform for the Energy Sector. The EIB is the biggest multilateral financial institution in the world and one of the largest providers of climate finance. Through its engagement with civil society and other stakeholders, the EIB has positioned itself as a key facilitator for a carbon-neutral Europe.

XEnergy – Empowering Women in Energy Transition presented the first mentoring programme entitled “Empowerment of Women in the Energy Transition”. In front of our members, partners and dear guests, the head of the mentoring programme, Martina Biondić, explained in more detail what this programme will look like and introduced our outstanding mentors: Nina Dusper Sušić, Tina Jakaša, Vedrana Jelušić Kašić, Ivona Štritof and Zorana Obradović.
President of XEnergy Nela Vlahinić participated in the conference Organization, Technology and Management in Construction & IPMA Global Project Profession Forum, held under the title Building Sustainable Futures in Šibenik from September 25 to 28. The panel, titled Construction, Green Transition, and Economic Development, discussed sustainable development, the circular economy, investments in renewable energy sources in construction, the ESG framework for the construction sector, and the impact of the green transition and new energy standards on the prices of new buildings. This panel, organized by the Croatian Economic Association, was moderated by Prof. Darko Tipurić, PhD from the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb. Along with Prof. Vlahinić, participants included Prof. Lana Lovrenčić Butković from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Zagreb, Nataša Novaković, ESG Director of the Croatian Employers’ Association (HUP), Petar Sprčić, member of the Board of HEP, and Dinko Čondić, President of the Board of IVICOM Consulting.
We are proud to announce that our new corporate member is Professio Energia d.d., the first Croatian joint-stock company focused on the development, application and long-term management of renewable energy projects, listed on the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
Another interesting event was organized in collaboration with the Croatian Society of Economists and the MBA EFZG Alumni Association, bringing together many of our members and friends. We had the pleasure of listening to Darko Tipurić, a member of the XEnergy Advisory Board and President of the Croatian Society of Economists. His lecture on An Economic Perspective on the Global Energy Future was both relevant and thought-provoking, drawing a lot of interest.

We announce the roundtable NEW MODELS OF THE ELECTRICITY MARKET DESIGN TO ACCELERATE THE ENERGY TRANSITION, which will take place on 28 April at 9 am at the Antunović Hotel.
The roundtable brought together respectable keynote speakers and panelists.
