Following HERA’s decision on the unit connection fee for the electricity grid, the association XEnergy and the Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK) brought together key stakeholders from the energy sector for a roundtable discussion on the new regulatory framework and its impact on the market.
It was highlighted that Croatia currently has 1.2 times more RES projects in various stages of the connection process than are currently operational, making it necessary to change the model for financing grid development. The previous system often created excessively high costs for investors and slowed down projects, while the new model provides greater cost predictability and a clearer framework for investment planning.
Our fifth roundtable brought together leading energy experts, regulators, and investors to discuss the new regulatory framework and the challenges of electricity grid connections.
The discussion focused on grid development, investment predictability, and the importance of flexibility and further infrastructure investments.
Because even the energy transition cannot escape grid congestion discussions.
Another excellent round table is behind us. This time, we gathered top experts in the fields of cybersecurity and critical energy infrastructure at a discussion titled “Cybersecurity and Energy: New Challenges, New Solutions” held in Opatija.
On June 7, 2024, the 3rd roundtable organized by XEnergy – Network for Promoting Women in the Energy Transition was held, and once again the topic was highly relevant: “Energy Storage for Enhancing Power System Flexibility and Integrating Renewable Energy Sources.”
The association XEnergy – Network for Promoting Women in the Energy Transition organized the roundtable “Key Business Risks in 2024 – Management Strategies in Croatian Companies”, which offered perspectives from various industries and sectors on the business risks expected in the coming year.
The XEnergy Association – Network for Promoting Women in the Energy Transition brought together leading energy experts to discuss the open issues of the new electricity market reform and to present five key guidelines crucial for the successful implementation of the energy transition in Croatia.
