With the final presentation of completed projects, the ceremonial presentation of certificates to participants for successfully completing their student internship, and a closing gathering, the second cycle of our Internship Program, carried out in cooperation with ENNA Group, came to an end.
On October 24, the Solarplaza Summit Balkans Solar & Storage conference will be held in Zagreb. It will gather respectable lecturers and panelists and, through three sessions, try to offer an answer to the question of how solar energy and storage will stimulate the green energy transition in the Balkans.
XEnergy organized an insightful workshop on Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), which was attended by 50 eager participants. The workshop provided a comprehensive understanding of practical strategies and best practices, highlighting the different types of PPAs, associated risks, risk management and many other important elements of successful #ppa negotiation and implementation. Through engaging discussions and expert-led presentations, participants gained valuable insights into the financial, operational and legal aspects of PPAs.
The collaboration officially began with the signing of an agreement that opens the doors to joint professional initiatives and educational programs. The agreement was signed by XEnergy President Nela Vlahinić and HKIE President Natko Vučković, while the key points of the agreement were coordinated by XEnergy Secretary Martina Biondic and HKIE Vice President Željko Radić.
XEnergy – Empowering Women in Energy Transition invites you to the training for the purchase of renewable energy, i.e. Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), which will take place on February 15, 2024 in Zagreb. The training is intended for our members, but also for all other interested parties.

Another XEnergy training session was held, where participants learned about the latest updates on sustainable energy systems in buildings and explored a practical case study of how apartment co-owners can reach an agreement on developing a renewable energy generation project on a building rooftop, as well as the key challenges of sharing the produced electricity among co-owners.
XEnergy – Empowering Women in Energy Transition gathered leading energy experts to discuss the open questions of the new electricity market design reform and to present 5 key guidelines for the successful implementation of the energy transition in Croatia.
With an outstanding response and a large number of high-quality applications, selecting the students who will participate in this year’s second XEnergy Internship Program, organized with our partner ENNA Group, was truly challenging. The program is designed to give students practical experience in the energy sector, develop their professional and personal skills, and increase their competitiveness in a rapidly evolving industry that impacts a sustainable future for all of us.
Another excellent round table is behind us. This time, we gathered top experts in the fields of cybersecurity and critical energy infrastructure at a discussion titled “Cybersecurity and Energy: New Challenges, New Solutions” held in Opatija.
After seven young women, Kristina Godec, Jasna Malić, Lucija Medic, Anja Stanković, Ivona Šironja, Antonela Vidović Zubak and Matea Zeko, completed the first cycle of XEnergy’s mentoring program “Empowering women in the energy transition” at the beginning of the summer, we are announcing a contest for the second cycle program.
At the ceremonial presentation of the XENA – Woman of the Year in Energy award, attended by over 170 guests, we honored women who are changing the industry and pushing boundaries with their work. The votes from the expert jury and the public were unanimous – this year’s winner of the XENA – Woman of the Year in Energy award is Sanela Carević from the KONČAR Group! 🔥
On June 7, 2024, the 3rd round table in a row was held in the organization of XEnergy – Network for the promotion of women in the energy transition, and this topic was extremely present-day : “Energy storage as a function of the flexibility of the power system and the integration of RES”.
We are very pleased to introduce our new corporate member – Solvis, the largest Croatian manufacturer of solar modules. The company has been present on the global market for 14 years and has grown to over 300 employees producing 2,800 modules per day, which is about one million modules per year, with an output of 330 MW. The company was founded and is led by director Stjepan Talan. This experienced businessman turned to solar energy and founded the company in 2009, during the economic crisis. Solvis not only survived in this challenging market, but expanded its business to new markets and new products. Their products are the result of constant research and development by their experts. The solar trees and palms, as well as the solar roofs, sunshades and benches, are part of Solvis’ Ecosmart programme, which is designed to integrate the different products into the architecture of urban centres. Confirmation of their success is also the fact that the London Stock Exchange has included Solvis in its list of the 1000 inspiring European companies in 2019.
