We are proud to announce the opening of the call for the XENA – Woman of the Year in Energy 2025 Award!

Our first internship program, organized in collaboration with our corporate partner, E.ON Croatia, has successfully concluded. Six female graduate students from technical and social sciences had the opportunity to experience real challenges in the dynamic energy industry over one month, guided by experienced mentors and working on concrete projects: from employee engagement, developing solar potential in Croatia, and market strategies for certain parts of E.ON’s business, to exploring green transition opportunities and helping shape solutions for waste management in the photovoltaic industry.

Another excellent round table is behind us. This time, we gathered top experts in the fields of cybersecurity and critical energy infrastructure at a discussion titled “Cybersecurity and Energy: New Challenges, New Solutions” held in Opatija.

Join us for the training “Competition and Public Procurement in the Energy Sector: Practical Approaches and Legal Frameworks”, taking place on 13 November at SkyOffice, Roberta Frangeša Mihanovića 9, 14th floor, Tower A, organized by XEnergy in cooperation with our corporate member, the PVM Law Firm.

In an era of accelerated digital transformation, the energy sector faces a new generation of challenges that go beyond the boundaries of traditional security.

At the annual “Hrvoje Požar” awards ceremony held on July 4, XEnergy received the award for the popularization of energy!

Our Assembly member Nađa Dizdarević recently visited Brussels, where she took part in a series of events dedicated to energy transition and sustainability as a Young Energy Ambassador and representative of XEnergy.

At the ceremonial presentation of the XENA – Woman of the Year in Energy award, attended by over 170 guests, we honored women who are changing the industry and pushing boundaries with their work. The votes from the expert jury and the public were unanimous – this year’s winner of the XENA – Woman of the Year in Energy award is Sanela Carević from the KONČAR Group! 🔥

Another interesting event was organized in collaboration with the Croatian Society of Economists and the MBA EFZG Alumni Association, bringing together many of our members and friends. We had the pleasure of listening to Darko Tipurić, a member of the XEnergy Advisory Board and President of the Croatian Society of Economists. His lecture on An Economic Perspective on the Global Energy Future was both relevant and thought-provoking, drawing a lot of interest.

Another XEnergy training session was held, where participants learned about the latest updates on sustainable energy systems in buildings and explored a practical case study of how apartment co-owners can reach an agreement on developing a renewable energy generation project on a building rooftop, as well as the key challenges of sharing the produced electricity among co-owners.

XEnergy is organizing a new training on November 27th in Zagreb (Sky Office, Roberta Frangeša Mihanovića 9) on the topic “Sustainable Energy Systems in Buildings Solar Technologies and Energy Sharing in Practice.”

The internship program represents professional practice that enables students to gain experience and valuable insight into the functioning of a successful international energy company and participate in specific projects under the supervision of excellent mentors from E.ON.

On October 24, the Solarplaza Summit Balkans Solar & Storage conference will be held in Zagreb. It will gather respectable lecturers and panelists and, through three sessions, try to offer an answer to the question of how solar energy and storage will stimulate the green energy transition in the Balkans. 

President of XEnergy Nela Vlahinić participated in the conference Organization, Technology and Management in Construction & IPMA Global Project Profession Forum, held under the title Building Sustainable Futures in Šibenik from September 25 to 28. The panel, titled Construction, Green Transition, and Economic Development, discussed sustainable development, the circular economy, investments in renewable energy sources in construction, the ESG framework for the construction sector, and the impact of the green transition and new energy standards on the prices of new buildings. This panel, organized by the Croatian Economic Association, was moderated by Prof. Darko Tipurić, PhD from the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb. Along with Prof. Vlahinić, participants included Prof. Lana Lovrenčić Butković from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Zagreb, Nataša Novaković, ESG Director of the Croatian Employers’ Association (HUP), Petar Sprčić, member of the Board of HEP, and Dinko Čondić, President of the Board of IVICOM Consulting.

We hung out at the Wind&Wine pre-summer party with many of our members and partners. We enjoyed excellent wine from our partner and sponsor Vinarija Galić, fine food providedby our new corporate member company Upgrade, and most importantly, excellent company. We welcomed the summer in the best possible way 😊.

On June 7, 2024, the 3rd round table in a row was held in the organization of XEnergy – Network for the promotion of women in the energy transition, and this topic was extremely present-day : “Energy storage as a function of the flexibility of the power system and the integration of RES”.

On Thursday, April 23, we socialized at another interesting networking event that we organized with our corporate member Privredna banka Zagreb. We heard extremely useful and very concrete information about sustainable financing through the capital market from our guests Vedrana Jelušić Kašić and Goran Kursan.

On April 11, XEnergy successfully organized the second cycle of one-day trainings on contracting the purchase and sale of green electricity, i.e. PPAs. The extremely successful first training, which took place in February, showed that there are still many doubts, which were clarified to the participants this time by XEnergy experts Minea Skok, Tina Jakaša, Martina Vajdić and Saša Jovičić, as well as our guests from Professio Energia Marko Karan and Miroslav Nikolić.

We celebrated our first birthday with numerous members, partners and dear friends who have recognized XEnergy as an important player in the green and just energy transition from the very beginning. We thank you all for your support in our first year and for the wonderful company and very joyful celebration.
