The XEnergy International Advisory Board has been strengthened with the appointment of Ambassador Igor Pokaz, one of Croatia’s most experienced diplomats with an extensive international background. His appointment marks an important step in the internationalization of our association and will further strengthen XEnergy’s strategic position on the global stage through the development of new partnerships and initiatives.
Ambassador Igor Pokaz has served as the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to NATO, the Ambassador of Croatia to the Russian Federation, and the Ambassador of Croatia to the United Kingdom.
He began his career at the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1994 and later served at the Ministry of Defence, first as Head of the Department for International Defence Cooperation and subsequently as Assistant Minister of Defence for Defence Policy. He also spent a brief period in the private sector as Head of the Office of the President of the Management Board at Atlantic Grupa.
After leaving public service, he co-founded Martes Consulting with his son Daniel, a consultancy specializing in strategic advisory services, public policy, and support for investment projects.
Ambassador Pokaz holds a degree in Economics from the University of Zagreb, a Master’s degree in International Relations through the Global Master of Arts Program at The Fletcher School, Tufts University, and completed the one-year Foreign Service Programme at the University of Oxford.
We are especially grateful to Ambassador Pokaz for accepting our invitation to join the XEnergy International Advisory Board. His extensive diplomatic experience, international network, and strategic understanding of global affairs will be invaluable as XEnergy continues to expand its international presence and strengthen its role in shaping a more sustainable future.
We remain committed to building a network of leaders and experts whose knowledge and experience help drive meaningful, lasting change.
