Our Assembly Member Nađa Dizdarević Represented XEnergy in Brussels

Our Assembly member Nađa Dizdarević recently visited Brussels, where she took part in a series of events dedicated to energy transition and sustainability as a Young Energy Ambassador and representative of XEnergy.

During the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW), Nađa actively participated in conferences and panel discussions that brought together over 450 speakers, 40 exhibitors, and more than 9,000 participants both on-site and online.

In collaboration with other Young Energy Ambassadors, she had the opportunity to highlight the latest EU policies and practices shaping a just and green energy transition in Europe, and also presented XEnergy’s activities in promoting sustainable and inclusive energy in Croatia.

Nađa also participated in a closed workshop with the Directorate-General for Energy of the European Commission (DG ENER) on the topic of energy communities, where discussions focused on concrete mechanisms for strengthening local engagement in energy production and management.

A particularly significant moment was the working breakfast with Ms. Ditte Juul-Jørgensen, Director-General of DG ENER, as well as a series of meetings with European experts on energy efficiency, focusing on the implementation of the new RED III Directive and its alignment with national legislation.

Nađa also took part in the 10th Annual Global Conference on Energy Efficiency as a Young Energy Ambassador and member of the XEnergy Assembly. Organized by the International Energy Agency (IEA), the conference gathered over 700 participants from 90 countries, including delegations from 55 governments and more than 40 CEOs and presidents of leading international companies, making it the most significant international event on energy efficiency ever organized by the IEA.

Nađa’s presence in Brussels underscores the importance of active engagement by Croatian experts in shaping European energy policy. As an entrepreneur and member of the XEnergy Assembly, her participation reaffirms our commitment to dialogue with key European institutions and to promoting sustainable solutions — not only locally, but also globally.
