Our member is elected Young Energy Ambassador for 2025

The member of our Assembly, Nađa Dizdarević, was elected Young Energy Ambassador for 2025. Among more than 1300 applications from all over the world, 30 young ambassadors were selected, and Nađa had the honor of being one of them – as the only candidate from Croatia! The selection was carried out by the Executive Agency for Climate, Infrastructure and Environment (CINEA), the body of the European Commission responsible for the implementation of key EU programs in the field of sustainability and climate transition.

The Young Energy Ambassador program, launched in 2023 by the European Commission, aims to recognize and reward the significant contribution of young people to the transition to clean energy, encourage their greater involvement in European policy-making processes, and develop young people’s interest in the clean energy sector.

The program is open to all ambitious young people who are involved in the energy sector in Europe – either through studies, professional activities or personal involvement. Every year, 30 young people between the ages of 18 and 35 are selected for a one-year term as Young Energy Ambassadors.

Nađa is a dynamic entrepreneur developing innovations in the field of sustainable energy and technology. She is the co-founder and CEO of the startup Coolect, which has developed AI software to help companies measure and improve sustainability. Coolect has been recognized as one of the top 40 European deep-tech startups led by women (Women TechEU 2025).

She graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Rijeka, and then completed an MBA in energy sector economics. She began her career at the Law Office Šavorić i partners, and also passed the bar exam. After that, she worked at the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar (EIHP). In early 2019, she was hired as a market analyst at the consulting company Interconnection Consulting in Vienna, from where she moved to DOK-ING as a business development manager, where she worked on the development of technology for producing hydrogen from waste. For the last two years, she has focused on the development of Coolect, which is gradually growing from a startup into an established company.

“This opportunity is a great recognition, but also a responsibility,” said Nađa. “I am sure that my role as Young Energy Ambassador will enable the internationalization of cooperation between XEnergy and key bodies of the European Commission so that we can contribute together to the energy transition. I am proud to have the opportunity to represent Croatia in this important European dialogue on a sustainable future.”

Nađa, we are proud to have you as our member and wish you much success in your new role!
